Believe it or not summer is almost with us. Those long hot days where you spend hours in the car sat in traffic jams on the way to a day at the seaside or in a queue on your way to work, only to arrive and find that the rest of the country has had exactly the same idea. Quick and easy to fit, the acrylic wind deflectors are designed to fit into the wind channels of the doors. Held in place using the friction of the tight fit, the deflectors do not prevent the windows operating as normal and can be left in place once fitted. In most cases deflectors are only available for the front door of the vehicle. The theory being that as the wind hits the front wind deflector it is pushed away from the side of the car, it is then not able to divert back to the side of the car until the rear window has passed the gap that has been created. So the rear windows will also benefit from reduced turbulence and noise when a front set of wind deflectors is fitted. Some manufacturers however do offer wind deflectors for the rear doors.
