Miller's Paranormal Research was founded in 2001. Our goal and mission at
that time were to investigate alleged haunted locations and to provide
"scientific evidence" of life after death. We feel that on personal
levels, we have attained those goals.
After years of investigating and experiencing paranormal phenomena, we believe we have a much deeper understanding of why some spirits choose to remain earthbound. Collecting "scientific evidence" may help bring closure for the living, but it does not provide closure for those who remain earthbound. We feel that if we provide assistance in helping those lost spirits make their crossing, then we consider that to be a successful investigation.
MPR utilizes both the "scientific" and
"psychic" approach during our investigations. We believe this
combination helps us to provide both documented evidence and an
explanation to the paranormal activity.

Millers Paranormal Research wants to clarify that we were not involved in the production recently released, titled "Children of the Grave" nor are we associated with the group that was involved in the filming. The producers were given permission to use certain quotes from our psychics readings but these quotes were taken out of context in order to fulfill the image they wanted to portray of the Pythian Castle. Please read our report on the Pythian Castle in order to fully understand what our psychics really said.
Misty has started working on unsolved murder and missing persons cases. Our first case is now posted and we are looking forward to adding to this section in the coming year.
MPR will be returning to the Villisca Axe Murder House in April to do a follow-up investigation. We are very excited about our return.

Misty found another roll of film that did not get developed after our last investigation in Villisca and had the roll developed this week (6-01-05). This photo was taken with 35mm camera with color film as we were leaving Villisca after the final investigation. It appears to be 3 of the Moore children who have appeared as spiritual apparitions. Once you locate all 3 children, compare them to their photographs. You can find them at www.villiscaiowa.com.

What appears to be a warped axe captured on black and white film during the investigation of the Villisca Axe Murder House. Also, there is a figure in the far right hand side of the photo with his hands folded in front; a faint figure in the doorway from the hall, whom we believe to be the sheriff carrying a satchel and wearing his uniform; a man on the left of the photo with a tie; and who we also believe to be Kathryn, hiding in the closet (center of photo). |

Photo by Dee Ann An apparition of whom we believe to be the murderer, captured on black & white film. The apparition is standing in the middle of a twin bed located in the children's room. This photo was captured during MPR's 3rd visit to the house while participating in the documentary filming of "Villisca Axe Murder House: The Untold Story". Just prior to this photo being taken, the "white light" was called down for protection. The corner of the photo shows a bright white light which we cannot explain at this time; there was nothing obstructing the view between the camera and the far corner of the room where the apparition stands.
