1.  We pray before and after each investigation.

2.  We respect all property - no disturbance of the property is allowed.  Prior permission is always obtained, or notification is given to the proper individuals, before entering cemeteries after dusk and private areas.

3.  We check all equipment operation prior to each investigation.  We make sure lenses are clean and equipment is in proper working order.

4.  We always use fresh batteries for equipment.

5.  We do not  fake or manipulate photos in any way (lightening, darkening, magnifying a photo and hiding identities may be necessary but will not alter the evidence captured on any photograph). We follow all standards and protocols listed above and below to aid in this prevention.  We examine and investigate ALL photos.  A return to the investigation site may be necessary to rule out natural or man-made sources not previously noted.  Unusual photos are sent out for further examination to rule out any film or processing errors.

6.  We do not allow smoking while taking photos, nor allow smoking around other team members while they are taking photos.  This could cause false ectos, or ghost mists, to show up on photographs.

7.  We avoid taking photos in areas with reflective devices, i.e. mirrors and windows, indoors, bright or polished surfaces outdoors.  If unavoidable, these areas are noted for reference when examining photos later.

8.  We do not allow anything to protrude in front of camera, i.e. finger, camera straps, hair, etc.  All camera straps should be removed or affixed around the wrist at all times.

9.  We check camera lenses for fogging during damp conditions.  No photographing during times of in-climate weather, i.e. rain, snow, sleet, mist or fog.  We hold our breath while taking photos during cold weather conditions to eliminate false ectos, or ghost mists.  We keep the camera lens covered between the taking of photos during the above conditions.

10. We do not participate in or practice the use of Quija boards, séances, black arts or the occults.
