Brief
Home and Property Description & History: A
double-wide modular home built upon several acres in a rural community.
The land where the house is located was associated with a Civil War battle
that occurred in 1861
which resulted in a Confederate victory.
The current owners have lived upon the property for approximately 5-6
years. There was a prominent judge who lived in this town during the Civil War. Instead of releasing his slaves to freedom, he chose to hang them from the trees surrounding his mansion. Women and children were amongst those that were hung. They were left in the trees for several days before being found by Union troops. The judge was known for his numerous sentences ordering prisoners to be hung from the main bridge which was located in the center of town. What was once a thriving community due to its access to the railroad and close proximity to several mines is nothing more than a ghost town today. A few dilapidated buildings and the judge’s mansion is all that remains of the original community. Folklore claims that the many of its former residents were practicing Satanists and/or were involved in witchcraft however no proof of this could be found.

homeowner described seeing a man with long chestnut brown, wavy hair,
stocky build and medium height. She also said he was wearing a double

|
This single orb was photographed several times in the back yard near the wood line. Heavy rains during the day would have minimized dust orbs.
|
Dee Ann took a photo that appears to be ghost mist near the wooded tree-line. This is the same area where smells of manure and hay were detected and an EVP was recorded.

Reported
Findings and Experiences: +
While walking along the tree line, Misty, Dee Ann and Brenda detected the
smell of hay and manure. During this time, an EVP of a male voice was
recorded after Brenda asked for a name
and a male voice replied: "Ralph
Wilson Hancock, III.
Several
photographs containing orbs along the tree line were also taken at this
time. . +
A photo taken along the tree line during Misty’s initial reading,
appears to be ghost mist. +
The male homeowner asked Misty about his deceased mother. This information
will remain private however during this reading an orb was photographed in
several consecutive photos. These were the only photos taken inside the
house that showed the presence of orbs. +
3 possible EVPs were recorded in the living room during the investigation.
While Misty was telling the female homeowner that she was letting the
energies intimidate her, a male voice was recorded saying, “Enjoy
It.” The
same male voice was recorded two more time while Misty was discussing the
female homeowner’s grandfather. These two recordings were as follows: “He
Would Have Liked That” and
“Hell
yeah.” + An EVP was recorded in the family room which sounds like a
female
throwing
up, followed by a sigh. This
same female voice may have been recorded again in the guest room making an
uhhhh sound. The house was unoccupied at the time of this last
recording. + One orb was recorded on video camera in the office. |

|
| As Misty was talking to the male homeowner about his deceased mother, 4 consecutive photos were taken which showed and orb hovering around them. In the photo on the left, an orb appears on the wooden door; center photo shows and orb by homeowners head and photo on right shows an orb on the patio door. The 4th photo was not presented here because the orb would have been too difficult to see at this size. These consecutive photos were the only photos taken inside the house during the evening that contained orbs. |

Psychic
Readings: MISTY + I’m feeling that there was a battle fought here. I’m
feeling the energy of soldiers walking with their horses and I see tents
set up as if there was an encampment. There was a lot of ruckus going on
at this time. The energy of this is really heavy in the woods. This house
is located right across from the trail they used. Homeowner
verified that a battle had occurred and that they had been told that an
old road had once ran through there.
I’m not seeing a big road, more like
a path or trail. There
are about 7 or 8 soldiers who are stuck here. They know you’re here and
are just trying to make contact with you. It’s all good though, I
don’t feel anything bad. + The house feels really good. Most of what I’m feeling
comes from the woods. They do come through the house sometimes though
because it’s in their path. They just walk through it. + I’m feeling as if there is a man buried underneath the
house where the master bathroom is. I’m thinking he might be a soldier
but I don’t know yet. + There is a woman here whose name I get as Sarah Jean. She is
just a spirit. She’s not a ghost. She was from town and brought the
soldiers food and help care for the wounded. + The man you saw walk up the sidewalk was a soldier. He was a
sentry who kept watch. His last name was Johnson. He’s the one who walks
through here the most. He’s a ghost. He’s the one you’ve had the
most contact with. + All the bad stuff, that’s on the other side of town. I
felt all that when I went by it on the way here. But it’s not here. This
is mostly residual from the battle. + The guy that’s buried under the house, he’s a spirit. + I’m picking up a male family member who I feel is your
grandfather. He’s the one who stroked your hair when you were having a
hard time. He keeps an eye on you. Female
homeowner stated that her grandfather had passed before she was born and
that she had always been told that she would have been “Grandpa’s
Girl.” + There was another house nearby that the troops wanted to use
for shelter for their wounded but the people living there would not give
up their home. Misty
was told that there was a remnant of an old foundation in the woods but
Misty did not feel this was the same house she was seeing concerning this
incident. + There are a few ghosts out by the tree line. They are the
soldiers that were wounded and later died. They didn’t want to die and
they didn’t want to fight. + There was a house out back that was there before the house
with the old foundation. They guy who is buried underneath the house lived
there. He was a farmer, not a soldier. His name was Howell, Howe or maybe
his first name was Hal. He got into a gun fight over his land. He once
owned this property. Half of his body is underneath the house the other
half is not. I’m getting the year of 1888. He left a wife and 3
children. His house was burnt down. + The soldiers that fought in this skirmish also fought further up north. They were to meet up with more troops. There were lots of wounded here. I see 2 tents set side by side and this is where they kept the wounded. Some had head wounds and weren’t doing well. Others had infections. They just let them die. There wasn’t anything they could do to save them.

MPR
SUMMARY +MPR feels that most of the activity that has occurred inside
the home is due to residual events and the wanderings of some of the
soldier ghosts who haunt the woods. It was explained to the owners of the
home that because of the impressions left by the battle they may continue
to have some activity from time to time, especially during the Fall
season. Misty reassured the owners that those who were present intended no
harm. A clearing, smudging and blessing were done upon the home. Before leaving, Misty shared some medical advice with both
homeowners. She also expressed to the female homeowner that she felt that
whoever was waking her up in the night was doing so for her own
protection. MPR would like to thank the homeowners for their great hospitality and we are very happy to have made their acquaintances. Hopefully we’ll be able to return in the near future to do some further investigations in their community.
