The current
owners have occupied the home for about 13 years. They have done many
renovations to the home since taking ownership including adding
2 bedrooms, a master bathroom and a large living
room. The original
part of the home consisted of dining room, kitchen, 2
bedrooms and a bath. The master bedroom was once the living room. +
The home was occupied for many years by a minister, his wife and an adult
child who was born a hermaphrodite and lived as a woman. The daughter died
in the home around the age of 30 years and the minister suffered a
heart-attack in the hallway. He lay dead for several days before his body
was discovered. + Research of the property did not show any homes existing on the property prior to 1926. It appears that the land was vacant of any buildings. There was however, a school house located directly across the road in 1877. According to deed records this land was allotted to the school district in 1869. By 1885, the school was moved about ½ mile down the road. |

The children in
the home reported seeing a woman in the hallway and having their feet
tickled at night. This happened so often, that they became afraid to sleep
in their bedrooms and would often run to their parents room in the middle
of the night. +
The entire family reports seeing shadowy figures walk through the house. +
Homeowners are often
awakened by banging noises coming from one of the original
bedrooms in the home. They describe the noise as the sound of heavy
footsteps on wood floors. The bedrooms are carpeted. +
Homeowners have often awakened
feeling like someone was in their bedroom with them. They described this
as feeling very intimidating. +
At one time the owners were going to look for another house because their
children would not sleep in the original two bedrooms. They opted instead
to build an extra addition to the house where their children now sleep. +
Male homeowner reported seeing what appeared to be the shadowy apparition
of a male as he stepped out of the shower. He described this apparition as
being about 6 foot tall and weighing about 250 pounds. +
Both male and female homeowners have been awakened by what felt like
someone sprinkling water in their face only to find their spouse still
sleeping and no one else in the room. +
While male homeowner and two of his daughters were sitting in the oldest
daughter’s bedroom, they witnessed a toy shopping cart move about 12
inches and then flip over. + Numerous sightings and unexplained noises have occurred at the home with each family member having similar descriptions and experiences. |

Findings and Experiences:

Just after setting a recorder in the oldest daughter’s bedroom, an EVP
was recorded of a male voice giving what sounds like “He's
Lyin'.” +
Mark M. felt something touch him on the back of the neck in the
hallway between the oldest daughter’s room and the playroom. This was
Mark’s first experience with feeling any unexplained sensations during
an investigation. +
The name of “Barbara”
was recorded in the pink room just after Misty, Dee Ann and Brenda saw a
shadow pass by in the hallway. This recording was of the same male voice
previously mentioned. +
While sitting in the dark in the pink room, both Misty and Brenda simultaneously
began
rocking back and forth. Neither knew the other one was rocking until
Brenda mentioned that for some reason she felt the urge to rock back and
forth. Video footage confirmed that Misty was also rocking prior to
Brenda’s statement. Misty commented that the daughter who
haunts the
house was mentally challenged and used to rock back and forth. She felt
that she was present in the room during this incident. Just after this,
Brenda, Dee Ann and Misty smelled an odor that was somewhere between a
fruity and flowery smell. This smell lasted for a few minutes and then
dissipated. +
A male voice was recorded on tape in the master bedroom asking what sounds
like, “God
Forgive Us?” Another
EVP was recorded in the master bedroom just after team members reported
seeing a shadow cross the hallway. This EVP sounded like a woman making a “guttural”
noise. + The closet door in the master bedroom was found slightly open after the investigation. Photos taken during the investigation show this door to be closed throughout the investigation and video footage verifies that no one approached the door during the investigation. This door originally led out to what was once the front porch before being converted to a closet by the current owners. |

When
I first got out of the car, I saw a woman peeking at me from around the
corner of the house. I took a picture and there’s an orb there. That’s
her. She’s looking at me from the bedroom window now. She’s been here
a long time. She’s not associated with the house but came down a path
that used to angle through this property before the house were built. She
has grey hair. Her name is Miranda Keith or Keitsh or Keetch, I’m not
sure of the spelling. +
There used to be a huge 2 story farm house down the road that had a front
and back porch. It’s an old house. It may still be there but if it is,
no one is living in it now. +
There’s also a couple of soldiers standing over in the field looking at
me .They said they came from across the creek and from a cemetery nearby.
Is there a creek and cemetery near here? Owner confirmed that
there was. The cemetery is located about ¼ mile from the house.
INSIDE

There used to be a small community near here which was sort of like a
trading post. I’m seeing lots of people still walking the trail that
came through here and went to that little town. It’s not as big now as
what it used to be. Owners confirmed that a small town was located about 1 ½ miles from
their house and that at the end of their property was what used to be a
county-line road. +
I’m feeling a ley line or something here that’s not good. Brenda needs
to dowse and see if she can find out what’s going on. Brenda
dowsed and discovered that there were power lines running along the east
side and north sides of the house. These were not noticed upon arrival due
to it being dark. She also did EMF readings in the house and discovered
that these power lines were putting off very high EMF readings which
extended right down the middle of the house. These readings coincided with
the areas of the house where most of the activity seems to occur. +
There is an older gentleman here who has long hair. +
I’m getting the last name Brown. Who is Brown? +
The man who died here won’t tell me his name but he died in the hallway.
He had a heart attack. I don’t know why he won’t tell me his name.
He’s afraid of something or feels guilty about something. He’s pretty
upset. The
owners revealed this man’s name and the condition of his daughter. This
man was ashamed of his daughter. He thought God was punishing him for
something he did before becoming a minister. He did a lot of praying over
her and felt guilty about her condition up until the day that he died. The
daughter didn’t vocalize very well. The man and his wife fought about
her a lot. She had more female attributes than male. +
I smell oil and grease of some kind and maybe gunpowder in the hallway. Homeowner’s described the smell as diesel fuel and said that they
have smelled it before. The
smell comes from the trail that came through here. +
I don’t feel a child here but I do feel a woman. She sobs sometimes. +
People just walk through this place constantly. Most of the activity is
because of the trail that runs through here and the power lines draw
energy. There is so many that I can’t give any names. +
The daughter was mentally challenged. She couldn’t talk very well. She
just made noises when she wanted something. + After our initial investigation, the homeowners decided to do some additional inquiring about the minister’s family who occupied the home before them. They found out that the mentally challenged daughter would walk from the road to the creek so much that eventually she wore a path between the two points. This is in the area where Misty indicated that a trail once existed. Perhaps she was picking up on the daughter’s vibration of her daily walks, or perhaps she was picking up on the hustle and bustle associated with the school. The daughter would rock back and forth whenever she stood still. We found this interesting since both Misty and Brenda felt the urge to rock while they were sitting in the pink room. They were also informed that the daughter could not talk but was able to vocalize by grunting and seemed to laugh a lot. As for the father, he was a very intimidating man and had a grumpy disposition about him. |

MPR
SUMMARY
+ MPR feels that the family is definitely experiencing paranormal activity. The power lines which meet and cross on their property are close to the house, causing a high electrical-magnetic field which affects the north and east rooms of the home. EMF readings taken in the house where most of the activity occurs were very high. A clearing was performed, however the family was told that paranormal activity would probably continue because of the existence of the power lines and have since reported back that activity is continuing. |

During the clearing, the minister seemed hesitant to come into the light. Brenda felt the need to recite the above Bible verse to remind him of God's promise and after doing so, he came willingly. We felt the need to post this verse along with this investigation.
