Brief Home and Property Description: Turn of the century home built in the late 1800's. Current owners have lived in the house for about 10 years. Home consists of a basement, main level and attic. Half of the attic has been converted to a master bedroom. The main level consists of three small bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and bathroom. |

Current Owner Reportings: + Over the last 6 years home occupants have reported being pushed or touched and hearing voices. + A light appeared in the youngest daughter's bedroom (which is now the office) during the middle of the night not long after moving in. She said it hovered in the room and the room became very cold. + Daughter was climbing into a crawl space to retrieve a kitten when she saw a man in the crawl space with her. This incidence seemed to set off additional paranormal activity. + Homeowner saw what appeared to be a pair of legs kicking up out of the crawl space. + Homeowner and daughter see shadows or a figure from time to time. Homeowner has seen this figure appear in the door jam between the bathroom and office and at the dining room table. + Homeowner and daughter were squirted with the kitchen sink hose during an argument. + Homeowner has been spanked on the behind in the middle of the night. + Homeowner has heard footsteps behind her. Upon turning around, she heard them walking away from her. + Recently what seemed to be playful contact has turned more menacing. + Near the basement doorway homeowner was shoved by something unseen which knocked her off balance. At the time she was discussing the paranormal activity in her home with a guest. + Both home occupants have been fondled in the shower. When the daughter was fondled, she fell out of the shower after hearing someone call her name and seeing a face. The family dog crashed down the kitchen gate to reach her and stood over her barking at the shower for about 10 minutes. + Daughter's boyfriend stayed over one night and was awakened by a heavy weight upon him in the bed. His hands felt as if they were pinned and he was being choked. The daughter reported having a similar experience about a month before. + Homeowner was awakened after hearing the stairs creaking. When she opened her eyes she saw a man standing about 4 ft from her. After falling back to sleep, she was awakened again when she felt heavy pressure on top of her and then heard a man whispering harshly in her ear in another language. |

Reported Findings and Experiences: + 2 EVPs were recorded during Misty's reading in the master bedroom. Both were of a male voice. One said what sounded like "Come With Me" and the other sounded like "Help Her." Video tape was reviewed to rule out any of these statements being made by team members. + Just prior to the clearing a voice is recorded saying "Up Above Her." + 3 infrared video cameras were set up throughout the house which recorded a total of 17 orbs. The video in the master bedroom recorded 14 orbs, the basement video recorded 3 orbs and the camera in the daughter's room recorded 0 orbs. + While Misty, Brenda and Dee Ann were in the master bedroom, a rustling sound was heard in the corner. Later, this same rustling sound was heard again by Misty and Dee Ann. Video footage and audio confirmed these rustling sounds and also picked up what sounded like occasional footsteps crossing the wood planked flooring. + Just after Dee Ann stepped out of the attic and into the master bedroom, a black and white 35mm photo was taken that MPR has determined to be inconclusive. A question remains as to whether this unusual photo was caused by the dropping of equipment or rather the dropping of the equipment was caused by paranormal activity. Video footage reviewed of this event could confirm neither. |

MISTY (Upstairs/Master Bedroom/Attic) + I don't pick up anyone being murdered in this house. + There is a woman here named Sarah Marie. She came from New York. Her family was of French-English descent. She met a man and they came to Kansas to get married and settle down. His name was Jonathan. He got sick and died here. He didn't want to go any further. Sarah comes back to try to get him to come with her. + There is an old soldier here. His name is Marcus McGee. His parents had something to do with raising potatoes, they had a small farm and were from Kentucky, maybe the south part. He came from a large family of 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Three of his brothers were killed in the war (Civil War.) Marcus died in the battle that was fought here. He was the last one of his brothers to die in the war. He had his arm blown off. He said he liked to drink and was kind of rowdy. He was about 24 or 25 yrs old. He's wearing a hat that has the guns across the top, light colored uniform, I think he's Confederate. He wears his hair long and braided down the back. He said it was long because he didn't have a way to cut it. He didn't have a girlfriend but he liked girls. He wants to go home. Research indicates that a McGee family which moved to the area from Kentucky owned several tracts of land along the Kansas/Missouri border and in the general vicinity of this investigation location. In researching the battle that occurred near the location, a Confederate soldier from this family was killed in the battle mentioned but his first name was not Marcus. It is unknown rather any of his brothers were also killed during the Civil War or during the same battle. + Sarah keeps coming to get Jonathan but he doesn't want to go. Jonathan was French-Canadian. He likes to scare people when they are by themselves. He's funny. An EVP was recorded during this reading which sounded like a male voice saying "Help Her." Sarah is not earthbound but Jonathan is. (Daughter's Room) + There is a dark energy in this room. I'm picking up a dark stone and metal, maybe some kind of amulet. It needs to be gone. The daughter showed Misty an amulet which fit the description given. |

JOYCE (Upstairs/Master Bedroom/ Attic) + There were lots and lots of people here. I keep seeing so many faces. There used to be a settlement here. + A woman just came up to me and said her name was Alice. Upon the mention of the name Alice, the owner told Joyce that during renovations a letter fell from the ceiling in the attic that was written by a woman named Alice along with a picture. She said the letter mentioned something about someone dying and also talked about some meat that was hanging on the back porch. The woman had dark hair. Owner confirmed that the lady in the picture had dark hair. I see her running with a child in her arms. She lived here way back when. She shows me the date of 1872. Owner stated that she remembered the letter being dated in the late 1800's but could not remember the exact year. Her daughter is the one who hid the letter in the ceiling. Alice was in love with a big man. The person who died was her brother. His name was George Henry. (Daughter's Room) + I felt something come to the bed when I came in here. This is the heaviest room in the house. I see a man with dark hair and dark eyes. He just told me he has multiple personalities. His name is Samuel. + There is a woman named Betty who lived here in the 1940's. Her and Charles used to own the house. + There's another part of this room that I don't like to talk about. We'll take care of it during the clearing. I usually don't tell people these kind of things but there was a man who choked his wife in this room and then stabbed her. He then committed suicide. He's the one who does the fondling. + A woman just came up and told me her name was Lorainne. She had a little bit of an attitude. |

Clearing: + A clearing, blessing and smudging was performed. The homeowner felt that something still remained in the house and did her own blessing a few days later. She was feeling better but wanted to give it more time before drawing any conclusions as to its success. Last follow up was 5 weeks after the investigation at which time homeowner reported that she was still apprehensive but feeling more comfortable that the clearing was successful. |
