Video: 6 orbs were filmed on the main floor

EVPs: 1

Brief Property Description:

A 4-story building built in 1904 that is still conducting the same business as it did when it was first built. Due to the nature of this business, the manager has asked that we not reveal any details about the type of business that is operated there. His family acquired the business in 1933. The 4th story is currently occupied by live-in residents and was not investigated. MPR plans a return visit to conclude the investigation of this building.

Current Reportings:

Manager has seen a short, stocky man on several occasions and has also felt a presence in the stairway many times.

Reported Findings and Experiences:

+ An EVP of a male voice was recorded saying "I know"  in the north room of the main floor (entry level). After viewing the video of this area, more of this EVP was recorded on the video audio and the full recording was that of two men in conversation. One said "I'm a gonna be a leaving ya" followed by the 2nd man saying "I know." This recording occurred just 14 seconds after an orb was filmed crossing the room towards the camera. Of the six orbs filmed in this room, one was very early in the investigation and then the remaining 5 orbs were filmed within a 12 minute period beginning with the orb that preceded the EVP recording. At this time, MPR had began to gather their equipment located on the lower floors and the investigation was wrapping up. It was almost as if the spirits/ghosts suddenly realized we were leaving and perhaps were gathering, either expecting a clearing or to bid goodnight.

Psychic Readings:

JOYCE

+ (Main Floor) Someone just passed by me and brushed my arm. He was a man about 52 or 53 years old with gray hair and he told me his name was Homer. He died in 1943 or 1944.

+ I felt 4 spirits when I first walked in here. One is a lady who is about 5'2" or 5'3". She walks humped over and has real long stringy hair. It used to be black but had turned gray. She died with a mental problem. She tapped me on top of my hair.

+ (Stairway to level 2 & basement) There is a little girl who plays on the stairway. I get the name Sherry. She has brown hair, but not dark brown hair. She wears it in long spiral curls. She's wearing a blue blouse and a white skirt that hangs just below her knees. I'm surprised more people don't see her. She tells me it's because she hides. She lived about 3 blocks from here and I get the date 1944. She also tells me that there is a man named Russell here. Russell was the name of one of the men who started this business. She said, "I want to show you the man named Russell who sits in the corner." She talks to him. She may have died of polio because she tells me that she can walk and run now whereas she couldn't before. (Misty also picked up a little girl in the reading she gave and indicated that she lived nearby. The manager confirmed that the family that originated the business had a son named Russell.)

+ (Basement level) I see horses, buggies and wagons. They used to park out back. I just saw a man wearing a black suit, a black hat with a flat top and wide brim. He rode up on a horse and said he lived about 2 blocks north of here in the early 1900's. He had something to do with the business. He was tall, slender, nice looking, had deep set eyes, big ears and his name was either James or John.

+ The building has been added onto because I see that this part of the basement was once dirt. (The manager confirmed that additions were made in the 1950's. Joyce was able to identify the changes in the structure and the added rooms.)

+ Someone either broke their leg down here or is going to break their leg. The left leg, the shin bone.

+ Someone just said my name is Ester. There are lots of spirits who are in and out of here but it's all good.

MISTY

(Misty had car trouble and was unable to attend this investigation. However she had visited this building in the past and reported seeing 5 ghosts upon those visits. She called and gave descriptions of what she recalled during the investigation.)

+ There is a short, stocky, heavy-set man who gives his name as Bill B____R. He died in the early 1960's. He has thinning gray hair. He was married to a woman named Ann who died in the 1970's. He hangs out here because he is interested in what they do (at the business.) The description given here is similar to the description of the man that Joyce called Homer. Although the names vary, the descriptions seem to depict the same person. Also, the manager had reported seeing a short, heavy set man on occasion.

There is a little girl that hangs out there that was killed in the neighborhood when she was hit by a car. Joyce described a little girl who lived in the neighborhood and thought that she might have died of polio. Although Joyce and Misty give a different cause of death, perhaps the car accident caused the injury to the girl's legs or the slow mobility of someone stricken with polio may have contributed to the accident.

MPR SUMMARY

Based upon the evidence collected during this investigation, we are unable to determine that the location is haunted and have determined it as inconclusive at this time. The little bit of evidence that was collected strongly suggest that a haunting may indeed be occurring but we feel that additional investigations (under ideal conditions) and evidence would be required in order to make that claim.
