Business Case

+ While an employee was cleaning the women's restroom, she felt someone smack her while she was bending over. This same employee found herself locked in the bathroom, unable to open the door.

+ Employees have witnessed shadows move across the restaurant and the lights turning on and off by themselves.

+ The owner saw a little boy standing by the candy machine. Upon trying to approach him, he disappeared.

+ The sister of the owner saw a little girl standing by the candy machines. She described her as being about 5 or 6 years old, dressed in a white gown with dark curly hair. She noticed that the little girl was not wearing shoes. She tried following her but then she disappeared through a wall.

+ The owner's wife and daughter returned to the restaurant after they had closed when they received a phone call that the alarm was going off. After checking the restaurant, they found no one there and reset the alarm. While driving by the restaurant as they were leaving, they saw a lady dressed in white walk across the dining room. Upon returning to check again for intruders, they found no one in the restaurant.

+ Employees have reported hearing a baby or child crying. This crying has also been heard by the tenants who live upstairs. Although the tenants were not interviewed, they had shared this information with the owners who passed it on to us.

+ 12 orbs were recorded on video in the hallway where the owner had seen the little boy standing by the candy machines.

+ While waiting for the restaurant to close, the owner's sister sat down by Brenda and Bonnie and brought coffee. As soon as the coffee was brought to the table, a drop in temperature around the table was felt. Brenda got out the EMF meter and set it on the table and it immediately registered a 7.5 reading. After checking for electrical interference, there was none found. After the coffee was gone, EMF readings in that area returned to normal as did the temperature. It was as if the entity that was present had been drawn by the aroma of the coffee and decided to join us for a cup.

+ In the basement, something tugged on Brenda's shirt, twice. Each incident occurred in a different location of the basement and there were no obstructions that would have caused the tugging sensation. Shortly after explaining to the owner's daughter what the sensation felt like, she experienced it also. Scott was taking EMF readings at this time and the EMF reading gave a reading of 7+. A black and white 35mm photo taken in the basement showed what appears to be a vortex.

+ While standing by a certain pole in the basement, Kathy, Joyce and Brenda felt severe pain in the lower portion of their backs. It felt as if someone was trying to push them down from behind. Kathy was the first one to experience this sensation and did not share this information with Brenda or Joyce until after asking each of them, separately, to stand by the pole. Kathy also felt sick whenever she would go to that particular area in the basement.

+ I'm seeing a woman who is short, has long dark curly hair and is dressed in white. She is in distress. She's very sad. Her name is Ina. She's been here for about 30 years. The description given by Joyce matched the description of the lady in white that was seen by the owner's wife and daughter.

+ There is a little boy and girl here. This is where they passed away. They lived in one of the back apartments.

+ The woman in white used to be a nurse or worked in the pharmacy. She may have worked in a hospital that's over the hill. It was confirmed that a hospital was not too far away and up over a hill. She died of a heart attack.

+ I get the year 1934 for the children. The boy's name was Jack and I think the girl's name was either Dorene or Darlene. They were brother and sister. They died in a flu epidemic. They were very poor. Their father was associated with the war.

+ There was a pharmacy here and a floral shop. I hear music, some young people laughing and dancing. Was there a dance hall upstairs? It was confirmed that the upstairs was used as a dance hall for young teens at one time.

+ I just saw a man fall off the building. Although Joyce saw a man fall from the building that housed the restaurant, it was confirmed that a man had died after falling from some scaffolding while working on a building across the street.

+ There is a man who hangs out in the back of this building. He was between 70-72 years old. He was short and this is the Edward that I picked up on earlier. He died here in 1959 he says. He has gray/white hair which is thin on top. He wore it combed over to hide the thinness. He had a light complexion. Someone came in to help him. They came up some wooden stairs that used to be in the back. There was also a wooden deck. It was confirmed that the building once had wooden stairs and a deck on the back of the building. His last name was Paine/Payne.

+ The little girl's name may have been Emily. The boy was about 5 or 6 and she was about 7 or 8. They both had dark hair and dark eyes.

+ A spirit comes into the basement. He is from an accident that occurred at the intersection between a car and truck. He was a young man, about 30 or 32 years old and his name was T.W. Although the full name was given, only the initials will be given in this report for confidential reasons. He is not a ghost here but this is the area where his spirit left his body and the vibrations are still in the ground.

Through the evidence collected, MPR was able to determine that the building was indeed haunted by at least 3 ghosts. No clearing was performed. MPR plans to return to do an investigation of the upstairs apartments in the near future.
