· Two story farm home built in 1882 and located on several hundred acres in a secluded country setting. House had undergone much renovation and included 4 bedrooms upstairs, a kitchen, dining room, living room, bathroom and master bedroom downstairs. The property also contained several outbuildings. Homeowner had lived in house for 26 years.

· Homeowner reported having suicidal dreams and seeing brownish-grey figures in his bedroom at night.

· Homeowner reported watching a rocking chair on the porch rocking when no wind was blowing.

· House became cold enough to see ones breath in the middle of August. Homeowner and son-in-law were both witnesses to this event.

· Homeowner and wife witnessed cabinet doors opening and slamming shut in the bathroom during a time when it was being renovated.

· Footsteps were heard going up and down the staircase almost on a nightly basis by all family members.

· The son saw Indians several times when he was a young child. One of them was very large, between 6 and 7 foot tall.

· The son often felt that someone was following him when he lived in the house and between the ages of 5 and 10 yrs he saw a white box figure standing over him when he woke up one night. He often saw fuzzy figures walk past him, one was a thick person figure.

· Youngest daughter witnessed furniture move on several occasions and woke up one night feeling as if someone was trying to hold her down on her bed.

· Youngest daughter often felt that she was picking up the emotions of someone else and would get visions of things that had happened or were about to happen. She often saw silhouettes of figures in her peripheral vision.

· Son-in-law was hunting in nearby woods when he witnessed a black ball fly through the trees. This was witnessed by another who was with him at the time. He also witnessed the family dog growling and biting at something unseen after which the dog began shaking.

· There were numerous other reports of unexplained activity associated with the house by all members of the family including the sound of horses running around in the yard and many other incidents.

· While Brenda was outside with homeowner’s son, she witnessed the sound of someone hammering on the south side of house. It sounded as if they were hammering on wood. Later Kathy also witnessed the same hammering sound when she was outside alone. This sounded like it was up near the house.

· Scott saw a shadowy figure cross the room in the upstairs servant’s bedroom.

· An unmarked cemetery was found on the property near the cornfield after Misty asked Brenda to dowse the area for graves.

· Brenda could not sleep in the master bedroom. Every time that she lay down on the bed, she was hit with an excruciating headache. When she would leave he room, the headache would dissipate, only to return if she attempted to lay back down on the bed.

· Son-in-law was sleeping in recliner in the living room when suddenly he let out a wail that sounded much like an injured animal. He was having a dream that he was trying to grab someone who was standing over him. It took awhile to arouse him.

· An EVP was recorded in the master bedroom saying, "They May Forgive Us." Another EVP was recorded in the servant’s quarters but was unintelligible.

· 21 orbs were recorded on video in the Master Bedroom

· There is a creek and a cemetery not far from here. It is a private cemetery and there are no markers. Homeowner confirmed that two creeks ran through the property and that an unmarked slave cemetery was located across the road and up the hill.

· There were a couple of other houses here once before. One of them burned down.

· I get the names of Sam, Mike and Becky.

· There are some burials by the cornfield. These graves contain some of the black slaves that once lived here. They were killed in a raid by some men wearing militia clothing. There were 6 children, 4 elderly and 5 of them were females. I get the name Annie. The others hid in the fields and got away. They come in from the cornfield just as it gets dark and come into the house. That was what they always did. Brenda confirmed the presence of the graves by dowsing and homeowner’s son said that during the Civil War a group of bushwackers had come through killing random families.

· Sarah Jean is the lady in white. She used to live here. I saw her by the backdoor. She has dark hair and piercing eyes. She likes to sit in the master bedroom. She used that room as her sitting room and sewing room. She liked to do needlepoint. Her mother lived here too. She took care of her mother. Do you ever hear a rocking sound? She liked to rock. Homeowner relayed incident of watching the rocking chair rock back and forth on the porch. He also confirmed that he had seen a woman who fit this description.

· There was an old stove located right here in the kitchen. Homeowner confirmed that Misty had correctly identified the location of the old stove even though renovations left no indication of where the old stove might have been located.

· The mean lady that’s here, that might be the one Kathy saw, the one named Rachael.

· There are children here. There is a boy upstairs. Youngest daughter relayed seeing a young black boy upstairs.

· There is an angry male spirit here. He pushes someone. Is there someone that gets pushed? Homeowner contended that he had often felt someone shove him. He tells me that his last name is Johnson, he’s a stocky man. Homeowner’s wife said that her maiden name was Johnson and that her father had been deceased for many years. It was possible that he was angry over their marital problems.

· Something was thrown away that made one of the spirits angry. Rachael. There was a portrait of her or her family that was tossed out and she’s angry about that. She also doesn’t like the carpeting, especially the carpeting on the servant’s stairway. The homeowner stated that they had found many items left by previous owners and had thrown some of them away. There was still vintage clothing hanging in the attic. Also, his wife said that the carpeting on the servant’s stairs was always coming up, even though extra effort and tacks were used to keep it down.

· There are 4 spirits who hang out in the unfinished bedroom upstairs. There are some children here who died of a fever.

· There were two brothers who feuded over the land. The land was left to them by their parents and there was feuding over how the land would be divided. They were from an old German family and one brother cursed the other brother and his offspring. One brother was killed in what appeared to be an accident but it was not an accident. He’s one of the angry one’s in this house. Homeowner recalled a story about a previous owner that had been passed onto him. There was much feuding over the land in this family and the one who ended up inheriting the house, experienced many sicknesses and deaths among his children.

· There was a hanging near here around 1918. It didn’t happen in the house but somewhere outside. I can’t pick up the exact location.

· Saw an older man, very ragged and dirty from work who carried a lantern. His hat was light brown and all crumpled and dirty and turned up in the front (like a cowboy hat.) He was on the left side of the house towards the field. (South side) His pants were worn and faded and tucked inside of brown knee high boots. Dirty suspenders over a work shirt (like worn out chambray or faded denim.) His shirt was tucked in his pants. I heard the song "Dixie".

· Heard the name Sarah Jane or Jane.

· Rachael insisted about the horses. They came down the drive and edge of yard. They were loose, no halters or tack. Trotting along but spooked as if something frightened them, running from something. One was a light brown cinnamon pie-bald face. He noticed me, eyes looked scared. Running with no particular direction. (The family had reported hearing horses in the yard and also felt that they were loose. This may have been associated with the burning barn.)

· Felt lots of energy inside the house and on the front steps. I was drawn to the kitchen and then to the servants stairway. Felt lots of energy there.

· Got the image of a small black boy in the room between the east and west bedrooms. He took my hand and said his name was either Evan or Ivan. He stayed in this room most of the time. I could see a bed along the wall. He had a white light around him. (Youngest daughter of homeowner reported seeing this little black boy.)

· Felt angry emotion towards males in master bedroom. (Homeowner confirmed some personal experiences that he, his son and another male overnight guest had experienced that suggested assault.)

A clearing was conducted consisting of the MPR team and the homeowner. The homeowner was contacted 2 weeks after the investigation and clearing and reported that no additional activity had occurred and that he was able to sleep in the home without disturbance.
