Brief Home and Property Description:

The home was a turn of the century home built in the early 1900's. It consists of a living room, a family room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, master bedroom and a spare bedroom on the main floor. The home has a 3rd bedroom located in the attic. At one time a stairway led from the closet of the spare room on the main floor to the bedroom in the attic, but former homeowners sealed off this access point. The home also has a full basement which is divided into several sectioned areas.

Community History:

St. Joseph was established in 1843 and remained relatively small until the discovery of gold in California in 1848. St. Joseph became the starting point for the journey west as hundreds of thousands of settlers arrived by steamboat and hundreds of wagon trains lines the streets waiting to be ferried across the Missouri River. Their need to purchase oxen, covered wagons and supplies helped establish the economic foundation of the city.

The railroad reached St. Joseph in 1858 which assured its continued growth because of it's accessibility by land, water and rail.

Political tension leading up to the Civil War led to the establishment of the Pony Express in 1860 and 1861 and St. Joseph became the eastern terminus. Loyalties were divided during the war which brought violence to the region but the recovery of the city was rapid.

By the 1870's, St Joseph became the wholesale center for the building of the West and during the prosperity of the 1880' and 1890's many beautiful mansions could be found lining the streets. Many of those mansions still exist today.

Growth continued throughout the 1900's and today St Joseph is the 6th largest city in the state of Missouri.

Current Owner Reportings:

· Homeowners often feel that someone is standing over them and watching them

· When son was living at home, he would sometimes hear someone knocking on the front door only to find no one there when he went to answer it.

· Both homeowners felt uncomfortable in the attic and basement and would only go there when they absolutely had to and only during daylight hours.

Reported Findings and Experiences:

· Kathy, Joyce and Brenda all experienced a tingling sensation in the back bedroom in and around the closet area. This was the closet which housed the stairs leading to the attic bedroom which had been sealed off. 24 orbs were recorded on video either coming out of or going into the closet.

· 6 EVPs were recorded during the 2 hour investigation. All EVPs recorded were of a male voice. Three EVPs were recorded in the back bedroom where the homeowners felt the ghost like to hang out. Those EVPs were all of the same male voice and were as follows: "Dan Rooney"; "Madness" and "We'll Be Hiding", which was also recorded on video. One EVP was recorded in the basement saying, "It's Grayish". This was recorded when Joyce was discussing what orbs look like with one of the homeowners. Two EVPs were recorded just prior to the clearing, one in the dining room which said "We're Really Not There" and the other in the living room which said "All Of Them If I Have To".

· A photo of red spirit energy was captured in the basement.

· Two photos taken with a 35 mm camera appear to have unexplained dark shadows. One was taken in the basement and the other in the kitchen.

Homeowners reported that the home felt more peaceful and that the majority of the activity had ceased.
