The home was built in 1908 and is a single story home with a basement. The current homeowner bought the home about a month prior to the investigation. After learning the history of the neighborhood and witnessing some paranormal activity, she felt an investigation and clearing of the home would allow a fresh start.

Due to the area in which this home is located and the well published events that occurred in the neighborhood, the history report will be as brief as possible, giving minimal details. Although these events are important to the investigation, we feel it is more important to protect the privacy of our homeowner.

The area was highly active during the Civil War with both Union and Confederate troops. A major battle occurred in which over 2000 men were killed and over 5000 were injured. The boundary lines of this battle encompassed the current location of the home.

The home is located in a high crime area, but the most noted and remembered crime was that of a multiple murders committed in the neighborhood. The tortures and murders of the victims are too graphic and revealing to give details. The home under investigation shares a property line with the property that these crimes occurred on.

The homeowner is currently working on tracing the names of the past owners of the home. If any details arise that coincide with the readings given by our psychics, they will be reported at a later date.

· Homeowner has had trouble sleeping at night. This is not uncommon when first moving into a new home, but her sleep has been interrupted by very vivid dreams which she cannot remember upon awakening. The sleeping problems began after moving into the home.

· Basement feels uncomfortable and is much cooler than the rest of the house.

· Uneasy feeling in the back yard.

· The homeowner owns two cats. The behavior of Cat #1 seemed to drastically change after moving into the home, exhibiting anti-social behavior towards those that she is familiar with.

· The litter box for the cats is located downstairs. At night, Cat #2 sits at the bottom of the basement steps and meows after using the litter box until homeowner comes and stands at the top of the stairs. During the day, she does not exhibit this same anxiety. The homeowner leaves a light on in the basement so it is lighted at all times.

· Power surges occurring on one side of the home, outages on the other. Two different electric companies were called out to investigate, but found no problems.

· While homeowner was standing on the mud porch looking into the backyard, she saw what she thought was a woman standing in the corner of the yard, dressed in white shorts and a white tee shirt. The woman would disappear when she looked directly towards her and then reappear in her peripheral vision.

· The homeowner is very comfortable inside the house, with the exception of the basement.

· The backyard provides privacy, a nice sitting area and a host of beautiful flowers, but the homeowner prefers to sit on the front porch due to the uneasy feeling she gets in the backyard.

Reported Findings and Experiences:

· While the MPR team was sitting around visiting with our homeowner, Brenda felt a presence walking around them and began taking photographs. A small amount of ghost mist appeared in different photos as she began taking consecutive photographs. One photograph showed a bright vortex-like shape just behind where the conversation was taking place. One of our guest psychics also took a photograph during this time with a 35 mm camera and captured ghost mist in the same area.

· Near the back-half of the property, Brenda felt something touch her 3 different times, twice on the left arm and once on the right arm. She first thought that she had walked into a spider web, but this was ruled out due to the fact that this same area had been walked through that evening by all those present. Also, the touches occurred at different locations as she walked along the pathway. The touch on the right arm seemed as if it was to confirm that the two touches on the left arm were not spider webs, as she was questioning this when the right arm was touched.

· Misty was tapped on the foot as she walked over what she believed was the former grave of one of the victims buried on the lot where the crimes occurred. Many orbs and two ghost mist photos was captured on this property by two different cameras.

· While sitting in the backyard, Joyce began to feel ill. Mark took a photo above her during this time and captured a swirling mass of ghost mist.

· The four ghost mist photos captured were all taken with 4 different cameras and by 4 different investigators. Two of those cameras were digital and 2 were 35 mm.

· A photo showing an unexplained red energy streak was captured in the back yard in an area where no lights existed. It is followed by two white streaks that are in unison. It was first thought that these may have been caused by camera movement; however the movement patterns of the white and red streaks do not mirror each other. The white streaks might be attributed to camera movement because other pictures show some small lights in this small area; however no explanation could be found for the red streak in the photo.

· Another photo taken in the back yard near the shrubs that separated the two properties showed a reddish brown energy or shadow on the edge of the photo.

· Battery drainage seemed to be a major problem throughout the night. One camera required 3 battery changes during the 3 ½ hr investigation; another camera required 2 changes. Of the 4 tape recorders set up to record the clearing, none recorded any sound although they were in the record mode. This may have been due to the electrical lines above which may have interfered with the recording process. MPR seemed to experience various and numerous equipment malfunctions.

· While giving her reading in the back yard, Joyce felt as if someone had hit her in the face. Details on the murder investigation reveal that some of the victims were hit in the face multiple times.

· 21 orbs were recorded during the investigation as follows: 11 in the basement, one in the dining room and 6 outside. Of the 6 orbs recorded outside, 5 were recorded during the clearing.

· 5 EVPs were recorded during the investigations which were as follows: In the living room of the home, while Joyce is speaking, a woman is heard singing in the background, "Fly Girl, Oh What a Night". Misty identified this song as one being popular in the late 40’s or early 50’s. The other 5 EVPs were recorded in the back yard and were all male voices. One said "Oh I’m So Glad That We’re Divorced." On another EVP you can hear a very faint male voice is in the background saying something that sounds like "Olive Oil." The last two recorded EVPs are most likely the voice of at least one of the male murder victims. One says "Yeah, Livin' Hell, Yeah." According to the police report, police officers investigating the murders often stated that it must have been "A Living Hell" for the victims. Perhaps this victim was confirming their statements. The last EVP was recorded while Misty and the homeowner were discussing a haunted bar in the area. A male voice is recorded saying "I hurt my leg at Gilley’s." According to the police report, one of the male victims had been treated at a local hospital two months prior to his murder for injuries he sustained during a bar-room fight.

Joyce and Misty gave separate, individual readings of the home. There are many similarities in their readings, although they may differ slightly in the names or ages given.

· When I came in the door a woman who used to live here said, "We’re so glad you’re here". She owned a cat and also said "Where’s Tiger Lily" which must have been its name.

· There is a Union soldier in the basement. He hides in the corner.

· A man who hangs out in the bedroom is named Sam. There is also a woman named Judy here.

· A woman named Christine hangs out in the corner of the backyard up by the house. She wears a back brace. Joyce picked this woman up in the same location of the backyard that the homeowner reported seeing a woman in white shorts and a T-Shirt.

· There is a little boy here who is about 5 or 6 years old. He is very frail. He had tonsillitis which turned into pneumonia and he died in this house. He name is John. He says he was named after his father. He lived and died in the house in the early 1900’s. I’m not sure if he is a spirit or a ghost.

· I don’t like the energy in the back yard. I don’t even want to do that.

· The man who killed the boys killed more than he confessed to. The police believed that all murders were confessed to; however evidence suggested there were other potential victims that the killer had captured and set free before they became aware of his intentions.

· There is a young boy here who is about 3-4 years old. He has curly blond hair, blue eyes and wears a long white gown. He used to live here and got really sick, but he does not tell me what he died of. He had a high fever. He gives his name as Jacob or Jeremiah.

Both psychics picked up a young boy who died of an illness, although the age and name varied slightly.

· There are two women in the house and a very old man downstairs.

· One of the women says that she is very happy with the way the current homeowner has decorated the house. She would like to see a runner by the front door like she used to have. She likes the colors which are very calming but she would like to see some lace curtains hung in the bedroom. She likes the way the homeowner converted the front room into a sitting room. She thinks this was a good idea.

· I feel the most heaviness in the back corner of the basement. There is man who hangs out back there. He was a soldier and he’s searching for his friend. Both psychics said that a soldier was hanging around in the corner of the basement.

· A woman named Mabel does not care for the new washing machine in the basement. She liked her wringer-style better. She fell down the basement steps one morning and laid there until her husband found her when he returned home from work. (After giving this reading, the homeowner revealed that she would always get a feeling that she would fall whenever she came down the stairs. Both psychics referred to a woman with a back injury.)

· There are three boys that linger here from the property next door. One of them is younger than the other two. They are upset that no memorials or flowers have been placed on that property and they want to be remembered. One of them was named David. He wants to go home.

· Allot of the energy felt in the back yard is left over bad energy from the property next door. Also, all the power lines back here are an attraction to any ghosts and spirits that may be around here. They feed off of the energy the lines produce, so therefore their energies will feel stronger back here.

Two of our guest investigators were sisters who share a psychic ability. They accompanied the team on this investigation as trainees of team psychic, Joyce Morgan. The following is a recap of their readings:

· There is someone here who is named Jonathan or Jacob and another man by the name of Christopher.

· There is someone in the basement. We can see their shadow darting from corner to corner.

· We see someone on the front porch that is short.

· We see allot of movement in the back yard. It doesn’t feel good back here.

A clearing was performed. The owner sent us the follow-up statement below:

"I feel so much better in my house.  I've been able to do some major cleaning up of the basement, since now I feel very comfortable there!  My backyard is being transformed as well- lots of landscaping and cleaning up going on- I now spend my morning coffee time out there on a daily basis.  I feel so secure, and I know it's because I had you all come."
