Video: 4 orbs captured on video coming from eldest son’s closet

EVPs: 9 recorded, 8 in living room and 1 in younger son’s closet

Owners purchased doublewide modular home sitting on an approximate one-acre lot. They have lived there with their two sons for about 3 years. The interior of the home showed substantial damage to the walls when purchased. Current homeowners remodeled interior and home is in good condition now.

Arkansas was organized into a Territory in the year of 1829. The county of Izard once embraced the present counties of Izard, Fulton, Baxter, Marion, Boone, Carroll, and parts of Newton and Madison. Carroll County was organized in 1834 and consisted of the land from the Missouri line to the Boston Mountains. The county was first occupied by the Shawnee Indians who built their homes from cedar logs. Later, Carroll County was divided into smaller counties.

One of the first settlements in the community was at a small town once called Scott’s Prairie about 1830-1832 and was near Yokum’s Creek. The community was a small farming community with a few nearby mills.

When the Civil War broke out, Arkansas was a pro-slavery state and joined the Confederacy. Although Missouri was also a pro-slavery state, the state was non-committal in pledging their allegiance to either side, therefore it saw much military movement from both the Confederacy and Union troops. They set the stage for many battles along the Arkansas/Missouri borders, which included the Battle of Pea Ridge, The Battle of Wilson’s Creek and many smaller battles throughout the border communities, including the Battle of Yokum’s Creek. Often after the battles, the Confederate troops would retreat back to Arkansas. Along with the Civil War activity, northwest Arkansas also contains a portion of the "Trail of Tears."

+ Apparition of a man witnessed by female homeowner and eldest son. He appeared to be in his mid to late 20’s.

+ Shadows seen in the form of clouds, balls and human-shaped.

+ Strong breezes throughout the home

+ Deadbolt locks unlocking by themselves

+ Things moving by unseen force

+ Homeowner has experienced being touched by unseen presence, pushed and scratched.

+ Many photos taken in home showing ghost mist and orb activity

+ Many EVP’captured in home

+ Feeling of fatigue felt by all family members

+ Attitudes of sons seemed to have changed upon moving into home

+ Occasions of nightmares increased after moving into home

+ Fear of sleeping alone

+ Homeowners contacted Ghost Safari to do an investigation in January, 2002. They captured numerous orbs on video coming from closet of eldest son’s room, also several EVPs and unidentified noises. During this investigation, female homeowner was pulled into the younger son’s closet by an unseen force, leaving red marks and bruises upon her arm.

Reported Findings and Experiences:

+ A cemetery containing approximately 31 graves was found through grave dowsing. This cemetery extended from the front yard to under the foundation of the modular home. It was estimated that all but one grave was of the adult male gender. The remaining grave was an adult female. One rod dowsing communication indicated that some of those buried there were casualties of the Yokum Battle who died of their injuries. It also contained graves of some civilians, including a woman who died of a disease while caring for the injured. Graves may possibly be slave burials as well. All graves were buried with their heads to the south.

+ Dowsing indicated a large underground water source running through the backyard of the property and along the south side.

+ Constant movements of black shadows were witnessed in the front yard by all team members throughout the evening.

+ An answering machine in the master bedroom that was not turned on, came on and began playing the messages. Just prior to this, tape recorder picked up some unidentified clicking sounds.

+ Video in master bedroom recorded sounds similar to the sound of high-heels pacing on hardwood or vinyl flooring. Just prior to these pacing sounds, a faint cry of a baby was picked up on a tape recorder. The crying sound was too faint to make an audible recording, however the combined sounds reminded the listener of those that would be heard when a mother is walking and comforting her baby. The number of footsteps varied throughout the recording, sometimes hearing only one, a pause, then a series of 4 footsteps, a pause, two footsteps, etc.

+ Two different tape recorders were used in the eldest son’s bedroom. During these recordings, the record button had been shut off ½ way through each side of the tapes on both recorders, however the "play" button was still activated. Therefore, this was not discovered until the tapes were reviewed after the investigation. Also, during these recordings, the tape-speed varied, jumping from fast to slow speeds. This happened on both the recorders that had been left in the room.

+ Investigator Brenda laid down to take a nap in the eldest son’s bedroom. Just prior to falling asleep, she heard what sounded like plastic being rumpled. Upon checking out the room, it was noted that a plastic sack was being used as a lining for a trash can in the room. If you walked by this trashcan and brushed against the plastic-bag, the same sound was heard. There was no one else in the room when these sounds were heard and no vents near the trash can. She also had the sensation of something touching her leg several times before she fell asleep.

+ While Brenda was sleeping in the elder son’s room, she suddenly awoke and saw the apparition of a gray man standing over her. Upon awaking, she startled him and he jumped back. Brenda described this apparition as being all gray, solid, very tall and skinny with a long face and nose. She thought that he might have been wearing a gray coat, but because of his sudden movement, a complete description could not be given. When the apparition moved, his face and head stretched like a rubber band. She got up and went to the doorway, turning back to take a picture of where she thought the apparition retreated. This photo shows a bright orb on the closet door.

+ After seeing the apparition, Brenda went outside with Psychic Investigator Misty and homeowner and relayed the incident. Meanwhile, investigator Dee Ann was napping on the couch in the living room. She did not hear the description given of the apparition. After about 30-45 minutes, Dee Ann joined them outside and stated that she had been dreaming. She dreamed that she saw herself sleeping on the couch and that a gray man was holding her down. She said that she had fought him off only to have him hold her down once again. When questioned by Brenda about his appearance, she described the same gray man in detail that Brenda had witnessed in the son’s room.

+ Early in the morning hours, Psychic Investigator Misty also dreamed of the gray man and added some details that Brenda and Dee Ann had not given. In this dream, this man also was trying to hold her down. This occurred while she was sleeping in the elder son’s bedroom. It was determined by MPR, that all three female investigators saw the same gray man during these encounters. It seemed that he only appeared or attacked the females and only when they were in a vulnerable state.

+ 9 EVPs were recorded during the investigation. 8 of those were recorded in the living room and 1 in the younger son’s bedroom closet. The EVP captured in the bedroom while Misty was doing her reading. It was a male voice saying, "How’s It Feel Around Her." The 8 EVP’s recorded in the living room were as follows:

"Carrie/Carry" (female)

"Praise You, Praise Jesus" (female)

"Help/Hell" (male)

"Check For?" (male) This was recorded when Misty and homeowner were doing EMF readings. The last part of the statement was drowned out by their voices.

"I Care If He Makes You" (female) The end of this statement was drowned about by investigators comments.

"Harry (male) Right Here (female) Don’t They Can’t Remember (male)" This EVP seems to involve a conversation between three people. These male voices were different than the male voice captured in the other EVP’s.

"Come Play With Me" (male) This EVP was recorded after Brenda’s encounter with the gray apparition while she, Misty and homeowner were discussing which one of them was willing to sleep in the elder son’s bedroom.

"Smothers" (male) This was captured during Dee Ann’s dream in the living room where she dreamed a gray male figure was holding her down.

+ EMF readings throughout the evening registered as high as 10 on the gauss meter at times. There seemed to be much movement associated with these readings as if we were giving chase to an unseen ghost or spirit.

+ Two photographs were captured in the younger son’s bedroom, which indicated that a possible portal or doorway existed in the home. Both photos show unexplained transparency. One was taken with a digital camera and the other with a 35mm.

+ Two photographs were captured which MPR believes to be photos of a negative entity. One of these depicts a dark shadow on the younger son’s bedroom wall and the other shows a misty light-like form in the older son’s bedroom. Both show some sort unexplained human-like shape.

+ Two 35mm photographs taken at the carport showed orbs. During one of these photos, team member Brenda was dowsing with a ghost named Jesse. A bright orb is captured on the center of her forehead. Homeowner had reported feeling very uneasy at this corner of the carport.

+ Team members Mark and Jerry slept through the entire investigation. This is abnormal for these two investigators who are usually very active participants. They both said that they felt fine outside the house but soon after entering the house felt an overwhelming sense of sleepiness. Perhaps the entities there did not want male interference.

Due to health readings, Psychic Joyce was unable to attend this investigator. Psychic Investigator Misty gave a solo reading of the property as follows:

+ A young man named Jesse disguised himself as a woman to avoid fighting in the Civil War. He wore his hair long and went by the alias name of Jessica. He was 16 years old.

+ The names of Joshua, Martin and Steven are associated with the property, may be buried here.

+ Detected two black men hiding on the property, one escaped and the other one didn’t.

+ Informed client of a health problem associated with a family member.

+ There is a man present named Walter Gene Pratt. (Homeowner revealed that she had a photo of a tombstone from the Eureka Springs Cemetery that contained that name. Misty felt that his spirit may have followed her home.)

+ A woman hangs out in the kitchen/computer room who is angry. She cared for many people in the capacity of a nurse. (Homeowner revealed that she often sees a black shadow and feels someone touch her leg while in these rooms)

+ A strong presence felt in the younger son’s closet. It can be aggressive towards adults but will not hurt children. It is very upset about something. (This is the same closet that the adult homeowner experienced the attack during the Ghost Safari investigation.)

+ There is a male ghost in the elder son’s closet. He pulled on my shirt and I don’t think he’s a very nice person.

+ A male presence in the master bedroom is angry. He’s the one you feel around you in there.

+ There is a lot of activity in the utility room. Lots of people hanging out in there.

+ There used to be a little town nearby, which is gone now. The name Scott comes up. Most of the people in this town were of the same family and the family was fighting amongst themselves. Maybe something to do with the Civil War and which side they would fight for. This family may have been named Oldham or something like that. Names associated with that family are Benjamin, Dwight, Samuel and Elizabeth. (History reports that a town once called Scott’s Prairie was nearby. A family named Yokum also lived nearby.)

+ While napping, Misty dreamed of a 2-story white plantation home. She felt the house was located on the property.

A clearing was performed by psychic Misty, team members and female homeowner. Team members reported feeling many spirits come into the clearing circle.

Reportings from homeowner after MPR departure was that the home seemed to be quieter but she still felt the presence of the entity that attacked her. As MPR continued to correspond with homeowner over the next several weeks, homeowner reported scratchings and continued attacks by unknown entity, voices and the slamming of a bedroom door. After reviewing evidence, MPR felt that a doorway portal existed in the boys’ bedroom closets and instructed the homeowner to try and close this doorway. Most of the attacks on the homeowner happened during the times that she attempted some kind of religious rite. MPR scheduled a follow-up investigation and an additional clearing for July 13, 2002.

The following team members were present on the follow-up investigation: Brenda, Jerry, Misty, Joyce and John.

Homeowners informed the team that they had sold the home and would soon be moving to a new location. Misty accompanied the female homeowner to the new home site and did a blessing upon the land.

Immediately upon entering the home, Joyce picked up on the negative entity and open doorway. The entity tried to hide from Joyce and Misty and several hours were spent following it from closet to closet and from room to room. Joyce felt that the doorway had been opened by someone who had previously owned the home, possibly by someone who was involved in alcohol, drugs and violence. Homeowner was able to verify that previous owners were involved in such activities and that there were many holes in the walls when they bought the home.

MPR set up a video camera in each of the boy’s bedrooms. Nine orbs were captured in the younger son’s room and video viewing is still pending from the older son’s room. Another EVP was captured in the living room of a raspy male voice which clearly says, "Damn You People."

MPR performed a clearing before retiring for the night. Those in the clearing circle were psychic’s Joyce and Misty, team members, Brenda, Jerry and John, and the male and female homeowners. During the clearing, Joyce called in the negative entity, and immediately after doing so, the female homeowner was violently pushed from inside the circle. Because of this action and no activity for the remainder of the night, MPR is very confident that the entity was cleared from the home. Misty and Joyce also closed the doorway during the clearing and blessed the home afterwards.

Homeowners have reported that all is peaceful and that no additional activity has occurred in the home.
