2 adult occupants of home (husband and wife), 1 adult daughter, 4 yr old daughter was present for the beginning of investigation due to reported activity surrounding her. She was taken to a sitter before the initial investigation took place.

Video: 63+ orbs were captured on infrared video. During some of these captures, multiple orbs were recorded which has just been counted as 1 recording in the total number. See Reported Findings and Experiences for details.

Brief Home and Property Description:

Ranch style stone home nestled among the hills of the Ozarks was built in 1947. Home consisted of kitchen, dining room, computer room, storage room, living room, master bedroom, daughter's bedroom, bathroom and basement. A metal barn was also located on the property.

Community History:

The white man moved from the Mississippi onto the Missouri River, then through the tributaries of the Osage and Niangua Rivers - to this beautiful, lush land. Possibly the earliest meeting of the Osage and explorers was in 1710, when a Frenchman named Claude DuTissent visited and hunted with the Osage tribes. But it wasn't until a century later that the natural wonders of the Ozarks were described by Lewis and Clark as they explored the frontier.

Gradually, commerce began between the traders from St. Louis and the Indians. The Osage bartered beaver and other animal skins, which found their way to the eastern colonies of the United States and Europe. As the traders moved into the area, the Osage ceded parcels of land to the federal government which eventually took a familiar action. In 1825, the Osage tribe was moved to reservations in Kansas and Oklahoma.

The Ozarks then became wide open for settlers who came primarily from Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia. Among them were hunters, such as Daniel Boone, who made a livelihood of trapping animals for their skins. However, most of the newcomers were farmers who built their log homes and churches and tilled their fields with oxen and mules. They grew crops of hay, soybeans and corn, and raised cattle and pigs to meet their needs of self-sufficiency.

Life in the Ozarks wasn't all work. The pioneers also met their need for social interaction by gathering as small communities, enjoying box suppers and music played for square, round and clog dancing. These are activities which have been passed on through generations.

House History:

The history of the home and property begins with a known log cabin which was occupied by Rhoda M during her first marriage. She then married Homer M and in 1947, Leonard H acquired the land from his parents and built the current stone home. The house was sold 1951, in 1971 and has changed hands numerous times since. The home has been used as rental property throughout the years and is currently under rental contract. It is reported that past rental occupants had not stayed long. One past occupant suffered severe mental problems while living in the home.

Current Occupant's Reportings

(Because so much activity surrounded this home, the reportings are categorized for easier reading.)

· Lights throughout the house turning on and off by themselves.

· Running water in bathroom and kitchen coming on by itself.

· Light bulb exploded in the living room.

· Whole sections of the house would go out

· Radios and stereos coming on and off by themselves. At one time, a particular song was played over and over.

· Alarm clocks and smoke detectors going off for no reason.

· Female occupant witnesses a light bulb unscrewing itself while giving daughter a bath.

· Dryer comes on by itself and washing machine will fill up with water on occasions.

· Refrigerator door found open in mornings on a couple of occasions. Items in refrigerator were still cold.

· Chain locks on basement door unlocked during the middle of the night, basement door found slightly ajar.

· Blankets on the master bedroom bed found wet with no known cause.

· Picture of angel knocked off mantle while family slept. Sound of shattering glass woke them.

· Animals seem to be attracted to the property.

· Female occupant of home witnessed a black oval shape object shoot from the ceiling towards her head and then disappears.

· Adult daughter saw a white human form scoot across the bed in the master bedroom

· Smell of wet dog in living room

· Dead fish smell in master bedroom

· Dead smell and perfume smell in basement

· Awful rotten smell in kitchen

· Former occupant reports hearing the sound of beating drums coming from the woods when he would sit outside at night

· Occupants ran video in kitchen for several nights. Sounds picked up on this video included whispers, the sound of something dragging across the floor, the sound of a woman crying, an unidentified gulping noise and the pulsating sound of either a heartbeat or drumbeat.

· Female occupant heard a male voice call the name "Sadie" while she was in the kitchen.

· Female occupant has seen a white thing peeking in the door that leads to the outside.

· Female occupant says a white form running between house and barn

· Heard music coming from the corner of the master bedroom, muffled but with lyrics.

· Various sounds of pounding and knocking noises throughout the house, including the sound of someone hitting on metal.

· Tapping and scratching sound in hallway at night

· The sound of someone gasping for air in the master bedroom.

· Lots of phantom footsteps heard throughout the house.

· Both male and female occupants were awakened one night by what sounded like blood-curdling screams coming from their daughter's bedroom. They found her sound asleep.

· Female adult occupant has awakened many times, feeling as if she couldn't breathe and drenched in sweat. This sensation has also come upon her in the living room while she was awake.

· Female adult occupant awoke one time feeling as if she were blind. She has also awakened with unexplained swollen and red eyes on several occasions. (See Psychic reading and Reported Findings and Experiences.)

· Female occupant also reports the following sensations upon awakening: extreme pain in hands, extreme pain in ankle as if it were broken (male occupant has also experienced pain in his ankle at night.)

· Occupants seem to feel fatigued after being in home for long periods of time. They feel re-energized after outings, only to become fatigued again upon returning home.

· 4 yr old daughter woke up crying, saying that her arms hurt so badly she couldn't move them.

· Feels a presence in the corner of the master bedroom. (This is the same corner where Joyce experienced the assault of the ghost in the master bedroom. See psychic reading.)

· All household members report feelings of being watched

· Male occupant had the sensation of someone blowing in his ear while in the kitchen.

· Female occupant dreams of dead relatives that she has never met before. Also dreamt that she was supposed to paint the house yellow. Dreamt of blood everywhere, a throat being slashed. Dreamt of being trapped inside the house with mean people outside who kept them locked up.

Reportings of Child with Possible Psychic Abilities

*Note: The child that occupies this home has shown possible psychic abilities, as she tells her parents on numerous occasions things that she could not possibly know. She also communicates on a daily basis with spirits in and about the home, having a playmate in the current home whom she calls Kaitlin. Both of MPR's psychics visited with her before the investigation and felt that she has some psychic abilities, but it is still too early to determine how much ability she has.  Therefore, her experiences and accounts deserve their own space in this report.  Photos taken of her indicate a continuous presence surrounding her since birth.  

· Plays on a daily basis with a ghost playmate she calls Kaitlin. She describes Kaitlin as having light hair and light skin and wearing a long dress with leotards. Kaitlin has a sister named Mary. Kaitlin's birthday is June 6. She can float up by the ceiling and float out the window. Kaitlin is 5 yrs old. Her parents had high fevers and started throwing up. They died in the woods. Kaitlin died when she cut her neck on a tree branch.

· Has seen a black lady in the kitchen and in her bedroom. Described this black lady as wearing a black dress and carrying a toy. She indicated that this black lady was mean and frightened her.

· Says there is a boy named Kootie in the woods. Describes him as having skin like someone she knows who is of mixed race. Claims that he plays with her and Kaitlin sometimes but mostly stays in the woods. She says he is 10 years old. Kootie died along with Kaitlin. They both but their necks on a tree branch.

· Has asked her mother on several occasions what the colors on her ceiling were and what other things were that she could see hanging from the ceiling.

· Was coloring when she asked her mother what color horses come in. She replied with giving her 5 colors. The next morning, 5 horses were found in the yard, each representing one of the colors mentioned the night before.

Reported Findings and Experiences:

· Upon pulling into the driveway, team member, Brenda stated that she felt a strong presence, causing her to shudder upon arrival.

· Team member, Brenda, dowsed the property for graves shortly after arriving. She found numerous unmarked graves located in the backyard leading up to the patio of the house. Using one-rod dowsing to communicate, she was told that 61 graves existed in the backyard plot and were buried there in the 1830's and 1840's. Other areas dowsed indicated that the property was located upon either an underground water source or ley lines. The psychics were not present during this time and were not told of these findings until after they detected them during their psychic readings. (See psychic readings & history report)

· During the investigation, team members, Misty (psychic) and Brenda were standing in the hallway, when Misty reported that she felt a presence in the Master bedroom. Upon entering the master bedroom, a temperature gauge registered the temperature at 64 degrees. Misty and Brenda both watched as the needle of the thermometer quickly descended to 56 degrees. Misty reported that she felt the spirit leaving and again, both watched as the needle rose back up to 64 degrees. This was not a gradual change. The needle both dropped and rose as one would see on your speedometer when accelerating or decelerating the gas pedal in a car.

· Team member, Amber was sitting in the dining room when she suddenly felt phantom pains in her left arm. Later in the evening, team member, Brenda, was sitting in the same chair that Amber had sat earlier when she also felt phantom pains in her left arm. In both cases, these phantom pains left when they moved to another location in the room.

· Team member, Amber and client's adult daughter, were taking EMF readings in the storage room, when the EMF meter registered 10+. This energy surge caused the EMF meter to malfunction and the batteries had to be removed in order to reset the meter. Team member, Jerry had his camera lock-up and had to remove the batteries to reset it. All team members had incidents of camera and equipment malfunctions during the investigation. Sometimes, this happened in pairs and at other times, individually.

· Team members detected a drop in temperature and a musty, old smell in the basement. This temperature drop and smell seemed to move from one side of the basement room to the other, bouncing from one group of investigators to another group located on the opposite side of the room. This bouncing effect lasted for about 5 minutes. Misty reported that this was the ghost of the woman in the black dress that roams the kitchen. (See psychic report)

· During Joyce's (psychic) reading in the master bedroom she was assaulted with the physical symptoms of the ghost that inhabited that room, becoming blind and flailing as if someone was trying to harm her. (See psychic reading for further details. See video of an orb that appears to come through Joyce's back and billows out her sweater as it is leaving.) During her encounter, the male occupant of the home was overcome with the sensation of being unable to breathe, and left the room gasping for air. He became very emotionally upset and later told us that not only was he unable to breathe, but he felt death overtake him. This feeling stayed with him for at about ten minutes and then suddenly left.

· During Misty's reading in the basement, a negative energy was between her and team member, Amber. This negative energy took turns pushing each one of them while it stood between them. (See Photo of Misty and Amber in basement.)

· During a reading that Misty was giving in the storage room, she felt a very bad, negative energy. She asked team member, Dee Ann to come over by the closet and see if she could feel it. When Dee Ann did so, she experienced difficulty in breathing. Misty asked her to turn her back to the closet and at this time, Dee Ann felt as if someone was standing behind her trying to put a cloak over her head. She described it as a menacing, intimidating feeling. As she was about to reach the door, she heard a bang (also witnessed by the male occupant). Upon examining the noise, they found a board had fallen in front of the another door in the storage room.

· During the clearing, Amber and Misty, whose hands were joined, felt someone swinging their hands back and forth. Misty identified this ghost as Kaitlin (See Occupant's reportings, Psychic Readings and Clearing). After lifting their arms, Kaitlin entered into the circle. Other team members and occupants felt surges of energy as Kaitlin entered into the circle. It was if she touched each one of us before departing. Team member, Brenda, who's back was to the bedrooms, experienced a spirit pass through her during the clearing and on numerous times, felt cold breezes pass between her and the female occupant. The female occupant also reported feeling the cold breezes.

· 9 EVP's were captured in the dining room:

"Don't Be Scared of That" The team was discussing the heavy feeling they felt while downstairs, (male voice)

"I Have Mildew" The team was discussing temperature changes throughout the house, (male voice)

"Teach 'Em to Fly" Male occupant had just told the team he was hoping to teach his cats how to hunt for mice and snakes when this response was recorded, (male voice)

"I Am a Dream" This was captured just prior to team going into living room for clearing (female voice)

"Do You Want to Lynch Them Now?" (male voice), "What if….I Am?" (male voice), "I Can't Spell That." (female voice), "The Animals" (male voice), "There's a Barn Right Through This House." (female voice)

· 3 EVP's were captured in the living room just prior to the clearing:

"Faggot" (male voice), "South" (female voice), "The Beyond" (male voice)

· 4 EVP's were captured in the daughter's room while her and psychic, Joyce, played.

"In Your Heart" The daughter was giving a description of her playmate, Kaitlin when a male voice added this comment.

"On a Wood Limb" The daughter was telling Joyce about a tick she found on her neck last summer (male voice)

"The Power" Joyce had just finished singing a song using a play microphone (male voice)

"Let Me Have It" This female voice was captured right after the above EVP.

· This EVP was captured while team member Amber and adult daughter were taking EMF readings in basement.

The girls were feeling uneasy and were getting ready to head upstairs when this male voice commented "Stay Here."

· This EVP was captured while psychic Misty was standing on a small mound in the backyard. She was commenting on the problems she was having with her camera when this deep male voice was picked up, "I've Got Some Rude Stuff."

· EMF readings throughout the house were as follows: a reading of 10+ was recorded in the basement, the storage room, the master bedroom, the daughter's room and the bathroom. A reading of 8 was recorded in the computer room.

· 33 orbs were captured in infrared video during Misty's reading in the basement. 11 of these orbs were captured during a time when Misty was feeling negative energy on her back. These orbs were moving across the floor around her. A possible vortex was discovered in the basement in the same location when later, massive orbs are captured during the 2^nd walk-through. These orbs were swirling and it was impossible to get a count.

· 15 orbs were captured during Joyce and Misty's reading in the back yard. One of these recordings was a group of massive orbs.

· 8 orbs were captured in the master bedroom during Joyce's encounter with the run away slave. One of these orbs appeared to be leaving Joyce's body.

· 3 orbs were captured in the living room. One of these orbs had entered the circle perimeter just after the clearing. It appears to be trying to escape the circle. 

· 2 orbs were captured in the kitchen during a reading by Joyce and 2 more orbs were captured in the daughter's room during a reading by Misty.

Psychic Readings:

Psychics, Joyce and Misty, team up for this reading as Misty and her husband, Mark, officially join MPR.

· There is a cemetery on the property by the hillside. A man hung himself in the woods, he was young, 25-26 years old. He walks from the cemetery to the place where he hung. His last name is Purvis. (A dowsing of the yard was done before the arrival of our psychics, which indicated that a cemetery was in the back yard)

· Some prisoners are buried nearby, along the creek. They were escaping and being chased by dogs when they were shot down. They had been assigned to work on Bagnell Dam, sometime in the late 1920's or early 1930's when they attempted their escape.

· Ley lines are beneath the house, mainly running through the living room and the master bedroom. (Dowsing also detected these ley lines)

· There were once 5 bodies buried beneath the master bedroom. They are old souls. There is heavy energy beneath the master bedroom.

· A little girl named Kaitlin was killed nearby a long time ago. She was between 11-12 years old.

· A man named Adam Wesley or Adam Wheatly hangs around. He lived in an old shack out back.

· A little lady died in the house, her name may have been Martha Jane.

· Detected negative energy in basement and storage room. In the storage room this energy felt suffocating. It was very bad energy. In the master bedroom, this energy passes through as a dark cloud over the bed. This is what the female occupant feels when she can't breathe or feels a presence.

· A man named Jonathan who once lived in the house, received a head injury and died. He was involved in heavy drinking and drugs. This happened in 1984. Someone inflicted the deadly injury upon him. Male occupant is experiencing neck pain, this is because he was the same size and almost the same age as Jonathan.

· The footsteps heard in the afternoon are from the man that watches from the hillside. There are four other men with him.

· A heavy dark energy in the house, it is a male energy with mixed emotions.

· There is a lady in black who hangs out in the kitchen area. She leaves a musty smell as she passes through.

· There is a watcher outside the bathroom window.

· An Indian died on the small mound in the back yard. He did not receive a proper Indian burial.

· Detected the name Meredith, may be connected with the family or someone who lived in the house.

· There was a gathering on the property in 1900 or 1901. It may have been a church gathering because she heard singing, but there was no music. She saw wagons, horses, buggies and someone riding a tall red mule.

· There was a battle between two Native American tribes fought on the property. It was a very bloody battle. She saw bodies lined up in a row and all were injured. This happened prior to the 1800's. These Native Americans wore headbands and were painted with war paint, as were their horses.

· A judge who wore a black coat with a slit up the back and small round glasses, rode up on a bay horse with a blaze. He was looking for someone. He was shot and fell off his horse and died. He had come from Gravois Mills. This was in 1884. He was a traveling judge. (Female occupant reported that history research indicates that court was held when the judge came into town. This was usually a rowdy time for the town because many would come from the area to attend the court sessions.)

· There is a female ghost who weeps by the well. Her name is Gertrude Conners. She wears a long gray skirt, a cream colored blouse with a dark jacket over the top. She has long brown hair of which she wears straight or braided at the side. She is tall and has high cheekbones and dark eyes. Her husband's name is Jacob. He is very tall, about 6'2", very thin and wears a dark hat. He is dressed in homemade clothing, black pants and high brown boots. They lived in a log cabin built into the hillside during the early 1800's. Some men rode in claiming to be lawmen. There were about 15 of them. 5 men had been shot and were draped over the saddles. This was in the 1830's. Two younger women were in the cabin. Jacob and Gertrude had 5 sons, 2 of them were dead along with a baby who was not quite 2 years old. They are buried along the hillside and their graves were marked with wooden crosses. Someone grabbed her, hurt her by the well. She died from injuries resulting from a beating from these men. The ghost of this woman travels back and forth between the well and the cabin. The cabin burned about 1880. (There were several different times that Joyce picked up something about this incident and those readings have been pieced together to tell the story.)

· There is a young female ghost, named Mary or Mollie who used to go to the creek. Her mother's name was Nellie.

· An Indian woman is seen running through the woods behind the house. She is carrying her dead baby in a chamois and saying something in her native tongue. She is running from someone on horseback. They finally catch her while she is resting in front of a large tree and kill her. They did not bury her but threw her body in the well. One of the men wore a long black coat and had very tanned skin. The other man was a Native American with long black hair. The Indian woman's name may have been "Little Squirrel" (There were several different times that Joyce picked up something about this incident and those readings have been pieced together to tell the story.)

· Some runaway slaves were caught on the property by their slave owner's men and tortured. A black female slave named Jenetta was severely beaten and blinded. They did something to her eyes. Jenetta was 21 years old. She was the instigator in the escape from their plantation along the Arkansas/Missouri border. She traveled with two of her sisters, Loretta, who was older and Jenny who was 14. Loretta was dead but she did not say how she died. There were others that made the escape with them. Jenny and Jenetta were kicked and beaten by these men. They threw them both in the wagon but both died shortly after. The men put something into Jenetta's eyes that caused the blindness, this may have been hot coals. Joyce saw some civil war soldiers who were watching the beatings from another hill. (Joyce physically experienced this scenario, becoming blind and feeling the inflicted injuries. The video which captured an orb that appears to be leaving Joyce's body.)

· Detected a watcher in the bathroom. This person either had an eagle tattoo or carries an eagle.

· A deep pool of water or a sinkhole was located under the bathroom at one time.

Investigation Photos:

Several orbs captured during Misty's reading in the basement - a negative energy was between her and team member Amber - this negative energy took turns pushing each one of them while it stood between them

Numerous colorful orbs were captured in the backyard where both, Brenda dowsed and found graves, and both psychics detected that burials and battles had taken place

A bright tailed-orb was captured in the backyard in the area where psychic Misty felt some very bad energy and her camera quit working

Clearing:

Psychic team members Misty and Joyce, other team members and adult occupants performed a clearing. This was a very strong circle and most team members reported physical effects. Team members Amber and Misty's arms began swinging back and forth as Kaitlin was trying to enter the circle. This was captured on video. Joyce reported as she felt certain spirits and ghosts enter the circle: The man with the wounded head, soldiers, Man Who Rides Buffalo, Man Who Paints Dog, Man Who Holds Eagle, Kaitlin, the woman who was blinded. After the clearing a large orb enters the living room and enters the circle area. It flies around as if trying to escape but turns when it reaches the original perimeters of the circle.

The next morning, the four-year old daughter told her mother that she dreamed a large rainbow was over their house. Later, she told her mother that she saw a big cross in the kitchen. She was not told of the clearing or that MPR was there to do an investigation.
