Conditions: Temp - 20's Weather - Fog present, no wind, mist, rain or snow Lunar Phase - 3 days prior to Full Moon Geomagnetic Field - Quiet Solar X-rays - Active

Brief History:  (By Brenda and homeowner) + Existing home built between 1865 - 1868 + Two Civil War scrimmages fought on or near property + Preexisting home rumored to have served as Civil War hospital + Town, county and property affected by General Order #11 in 1863 + Existing barn on property survived General Order #11, was built pre-Civil War + Civil War Union encampment located on or near property

Witnessed Reportings: + Apparition of a man in a long coat, boots, cowboy or wide brim hat (Witnessed by several family members and  previous owners/occupants) + Footsteps on stairs and upstairs landing + Lights coming on and going off by themselves + Dishes rattling in kitchen + Apparition of a woman in a white dress (pond area, witnessed by several family members) + Feelings of being watched outside from upstairs window + Movements out of the corner of the eye + Apprehension going from driveway to house, stronger after dark

Pre-Investigation:  February 3 and 4 - Belief that property may contain possible bodies and/or limbs; property grave dowsed for graves.  Numerous unmarked graves were indicated by dowsing method, 99% being male. Two other dowsers were called in to verify findings and were in concurrence.  Graves are assumed to be remains of Civil War soldiers or slaves due to male dominating gender.  Proof would require an archeological examination by experts (pending).

  

Reported Findings & Experiences:  + Numerous orbs captured both inside and outside of home.  Photos taken in yard are concurrent with those taken in cemeteries. + EVP captured in upstairs bedroom "Catherine"? Catherine"? + Observed glider swinging by itself while team member was asleep in it - except it would swing forward, stop, swing backward, stop...as if being pushed by someone holding on to it - careful observation proved movement could not be made by team member. + Motion detector activated by unseen force on upstairs landing + Footsteps heard on upstairs landing. + Team members experienced apprehensive feelings in yard causing emotions to elevate. + Smells of hay and manure emitted from kitchen for approximately 30 minutes.

Further Findings - Date:  March 9, 10 and 11    The investigation of this home was filmed and reenacted for Fox Family - "Scariest Places On Earth".  The following events occurred during the 3-day filming process:    1. Sound technician picked up the sound of a heart beat in the yard.  Five experts were called to rule out man-made causes - reason could not be defined.  The heart beat sound lasted for about 30 minutes and then stopped.  No explanation was ever found.    2. Film crew experienced numerous equipment failures which they stated had never happened to them like this before.    3. Team members and owner were walking along upstairs landing when the latch on the attic door flew up and the door opened on its own.    4. Film crew witnessed a door knob twisting and turning on its own.    5. Empty glider swing began swinging on its own.    6. Ghost mists captured outside of home.    7. Psychics Joyce and partner Misty reported findings of spirits present in the home and yard.  Cleansing ceremony was perfumed and home was blessed.

Follow-Up + Owners report that the house is now very peaceful, calm and feels like home. + Miller's Paranormal Research is currently assisting the family in the restoration of the home on a voluntary basis.
